Cookies Policy

HTTP-only cookies support owner and tenant sign-in, OAuth state checks, a pending beta code, a pending legal-acceptance record, and the local owner switcher when that development feature is enabled. They are set only in the related sign-in, connection, or local-development flow. The application does not set cookies for advertising or marketing.

The cookie names found in application code are `rpb_session`, `tenant_portal_token`, `tenant_tenancy_selection`, `rpb_google_auth_state`, `rm_oauth_state_google_drive`, `rm_oauth_state_quickbooks`, `rpb_beta_code`, `rpb_legal_acceptance`, `rpb_user_email`, and `rpb_user_name`.

With your permission, local storage can remember the theme, saved ledger-report definitions, onboarding-tour progress/request, dismissed help tips, recent searches, and dismissal of the PWA-install prompt. These values remain in your browser. They are not required to sign in or use the core service, so they are blocked until you allow functional storage.

The consent choice itself is saved as `rentmochi_consent_preferences` so the application can remember and honor your decision. Rejecting or revoking functional storage removes the listed optional values.

If you allow analytics, the browser may load the Sentry SDK for error diagnostics. Session Replay and performance tracing are off. Event and breadcrumb text is scrubbed for email addresses and IP addresses. You can revoke analytics consent through Cookie settings in the footer; revocation stops further browser reporting.

Stripe Elements may load on the tenant payment page when a connected landlord account and active payment intent are available so the rent payment form can be displayed. Stripe receives bank and payment details when you enter them in that form to submit a payment. It is used for the landlord-connected rent payment, not advertising or analytics.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or revoke optional functional-storage and analytics choices. Optional choices default off. No marketing category is used by the application source.
